A slatmill is a non-motorized treadmill for dogs. They are 100% dog-powered. The dog is in total control. If they want to walk, they walk; if they want to run, they run; and they can stop whenever they want.
-
Highly Efficient: A dog-powered 30-minute session can equal up to a 2-hour walk in terms of energy burn.
Full-Body Conditioning: Efficiently builds muscle, endurance, and core strength.
Low-Impact: Easier on joints than pavement, minimizing wear and tear.
Mental Burn: High engagement that satisfies working drives and calms high-energy dogs.
All-Weather: Delivers a reliable workout regardless of outdoor heat or rain.

A dog's safety is our number one priority. Dogs are secured in a harness that is attached to the slatmill, and the trainer is right there supervising the whole time. The van is air-conditioned so there is no overheating, and trainers are also certified in Canine Fitness (Cert.CF) and pet first aid/CPR.

Every dog is different, which is why we offer dedicated orientation and introduction packages to slowly acclimate them to the equipment. Some dogs get it right away and are running within five minutes, while others may take multiple sessions to feel comfortable. Some also prefer a keep a lighter pace or just walk, which is totally fine. We use positive reinforcement and plenty of treats to ensure the experience is fun and stress-free while they learn at their own pace.
-
We accommodate all sizes—from small, medium, and large breeds to Giant breeds (typically up to 150 lbs and 32 inches at the shoulder). Puppies over 6 months old and up to date on vaccinations are welcome to join. Note: If your dog has any respiratory, heart, or joint issues, written clearance for physical activity from your veterinarian is required prior to their first session.

Yes, absolutely! Because our mobile gym sessions are completely private and one-on-one in a controlled, low-distraction environment, it is an ideal setting for reactive dogs who struggle in traditional group or public settings. For the safety of our trainers, dogs with a history of human aggression are welcome to participate provided they wear a properly fitted basket or pant muzzle during the session. We are happy to work with you and your dog at their own pace to ensure a safe, stress-free workout experience.
-
No Problem. The van is equipped with two slatmills. We offer Multi-dog packages where two dogs run during the same appointment window, giving you a faster visit at a discounted rate. If they can’t run together, no problem—we’ll run them back-to-back, one at a time, at the same discounted rate.

No, you do not have to be home! We just ask that you are there for the initial orientation session to help ease the process and keep your dog comfortable. After that, you are more than welcome to watch every session, or you can go about your day.
As long as we have a safe and reliable way to retrieve your dog—such as a door code, hidden key, garage access, or a designated lockbox—we are good to go.
-
Because our gym is built into a fully climate-controlled cargo van, we operate rain or shine! However, in the event of severe weather (like ice or unsafe road conditions), we will contact you to reschedule your session safely.
-
Rabies is required. For the health and safety of all our clients and trainers, we require all dogs to be up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations prior to their first session (proof of vaccination may be requested during onboarding).
-
Please do not feed your dog for two hours before their scheduled visit. If you are home, please also give your dog the opportunity to use the bathroom shortly before their session starts.
If your dog already has a well-fitting harness, please have them wearing it when we arrive. You are also more than welcome to send along their favorite toy and treats to help keep them motivated and reward their hard work!
-
It depends on the dog and the intensity of their runs. For high-intensity sessions, it is usually recommended that they wait 48 to 72 hours between workouts to allow their joints and muscles proper time to recover.
-
We ask for at least 24 hours' prior notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged, or the package session will count as used.
